Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about training, consultations, nutrition guidance, and getting started.

Getting Started

Your free consultation is a 60-minute visit that includes both a conversation and an introductory workout. You’ll discuss your goals, workout history, injuries, schedule, and any questions you have. Then I’ll guide you through a workout so you can experience my coaching style while I assess your movement, strength, flexibility, and overall fitness level. There’s no pressure—it’s simply a chance to see if we’re a good fit.

Not at all. Many of my clients start because they haven’t worked out consistently or don’t know where to begin. My job is to meet you where you are today and help you improve one step at a time.

Personal training is ideal for anyone who wants professional guidance, accountability, and a personalized plan. Whether your goal is losing weight, building muscle, getting stronger, improving mobility, or simply feeling healthier, your program will be built around your goals.

I will respond to every consultation request, usually within a few hours and always within 24 hours. You can choose whether you’d prefer to be contacted by phone, text, or email.

Personal Training

Commercial gyms sell memberships. I focus on helping people get results. Every workout is personalized, your technique is coached, your progress is tracked, and your program changes as you improve. You’re never left wondering what to do next.

The two biggest reasons people struggle are consistency and knowing what to do. I’ll create a structured program, teach proper form, keep you accountable, and adjust your workouts as you improve so you can make steady progress without the guesswork.

That’s completely okay. Many of my clients are beginners. I’ll teach you every exercise, explain proper technique, and help you build confidence before increasing the difficulty.

That depends on your goals, schedule, and fitness level. During your consultation, we’ll develop a realistic training schedule that’s challenging enough to produce results while fitting your lifestyle.

Success isn’t measured only by the scale. We’ll also look at strength, body composition, energy, mobility, consistency, confidence, and how much easier everyday activities become.

Weight Loss

Absolutely. My approach combines strength training, nutrition guidance, accountability, and consistency to help clients lose weight while building lean muscle and creating habits they can maintain.

Most diets aren’t designed to last. People often lose weight quickly, then return to old habits and gain it back. My goal is to help you develop healthy habits you can continue for years—not just until a diet ends.

Building muscle helps support your metabolism while improving your body composition. Instead of trying to out-exercise a poor diet with endless cardio, strength training helps create long-term results that are easier to maintain.

Many people successfully lose weight but aren’t sure how to build muscle or maintain their results. I’ll help you transition into strength training so you continue improving instead of starting over every few months.

Everyone is different, but many clients notice improved strength, energy, confidence, and movement within the first few weeks. Visible body composition changes come from staying consistent over time.

Strength & Healthy Aging

Yes. Whether your goal is building muscle, increasing strength, or improving body composition, I’ll create a progressive training program designed specifically for you.

Proper technique helps reduce injury risk while making every exercise more effective. I’ll coach every movement so you’re building strength safely and efficiently.

Absolutely. Maintaining muscle is one of the best ways to improve balance, mobility, bone health, and independence as you age. Strength training helps you continue doing the activities you enjoy for years to come.

Yes. Clients often tell me they’re able to climb stairs more easily, carry groceries, hike, play with their kids, and move with less discomfort after becoming stronger.

Nutrition

Yes. Nutrition guidance is included with in-person training. Rather than putting you on a restrictive diet, I’ll help you build practical eating habits that support your fitness goals.

Your body gets stronger while recovering—not while you’re working out. Sleep, nutrition, hydration, and rest all play an important role in helping you build muscle, avoid injuries, and continue making progress.

Small Group Training

Yes. Small-group training provides the motivation of working out with others while still giving you individualized coaching and exercise modifications.

One-on-one training offers completely individualized coaching. Small-group training follows a similar strength-training approach while providing a more affordable option and the motivation of exercising with others.

Absolutely. Even during group sessions, I’ll monitor your technique, adjust exercises when needed, and make sure you’re training safely and effectively.

Athletes & Teens

Yes. I work with teens who want to learn proper strength training, improve athletic performance, and gain confidence in the gym. Programs are customized based on age, sport, and experience.

Pricing

Every client is different, so pricing depends on the type of coaching that’s right for you. During your free consultation, we’ll discuss your goals, explain your options, and recommend the best program before you make any commitment.

Yes. Small-group strength training provides many of the same coaching benefits as personal training while making it more affordable. I’ll explain the available options during your consultation.
